The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) is a group-administered K–12 assessment intended to estimate students’ learned reasoning and problem solving abilities through a battery of verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal test items.

Metaphor administers both CogAT and NNAT3 tests for 2nd grade students to support them while applying for the Advanced Academics Placement in FCPS. Preparation for the formats of the tests is included in students’ curriculum.

Each child will receive an official score report, including the required score types (NAI for NNAT3, SAS for CogAT as requested by FCPS).
